Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Chignell, the trainer of Emily As regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Emily As last raced on 23/04/2016. Mrs. Chignell stated that the greyhound was returning to race following an operation on the left front toe.
A pre race sample was taken from In The Net.
In The Net was slow to begin. Emily As, Anjing Betina, Three Scoops and Guillermo collided soon after the start. Aston Hammer and Guillermo collided on the first turn and both greyhounds fell as a result checking Anjing Betina. Anjing Betina checked off In The Net entering the back straight. Cheerful Scout checked off Emily As on the third turn.
Aston Hammer was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Guillermo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
