Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Moore, the trainer of Summer Nights regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Summer Nights last raced on 21/02/2016. Mr. Moore stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being seasonal.
A pre race sample was taken from Ashtastic.
Van Damm was slow to begin. Gold Vein, Summer Nights and Ashtastic collided soon after the start. It's My Secret and Guardman collided soon after the start. Jett Zafonic, Gold Vein and Summer Nights collided approaching the first turn checking Summer Nights. Summer Nights, Ashtastic and Van Damm collided on the first turn severely checking Ashtastic and causing Summer Nights to fall. Lady Julian and Jett Zafonic collided approaching the home turn.
Summer Nights was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
