Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Moore, the trainer of Summer Nights regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Summer Nights last raced on 21/02/2016.  Mr. Moore stated that the greyhound was returning to race after being seasonal.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Chignell, the trainer of Emily As regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Emily As last raced on 23/04/2016.  Mrs. Chignell stated that the greyhound was returning to race following an operation on the left front toe.

Willowvale Storm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Galea, the trainer,  regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Saturday Sip.  Stewards directed that Saturday Sip be boxed first in future events.

Headline and Mizuki were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Willie Gee and Coalville Tiger collided soon after the start.  Fear The Boss, Headline and Willie Gee collided on the first turn.  Coalville Tiger and Fuelish collided on the second turn.  Fear The Boss and Willie Gee collided in the home straight.
