A pre-race sample was taken from Smashing Wild upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Xan Mai, Smashing Wild, Moltisanti and Spelling Misteak collided soon after the start, checking Smashing Wild and Moltisanti. Smashing Wild checked off Moltisanti on the first turn. Spelling Misteak, Xan Mai, Satin Ice and Brandeen Bayley collided on the first turn, checking Xan Mai, Brandeen Bayley and Moltisanti. Satin Ice and Spelling Misteak collided on the first turn checking Satin Ice, Spelling Misteak and Xan Mai. Brandeen Bayley checked off Xan Mai approaching the home turn. Smashing Wild and Moltisanti collided entering the home straight.
