Survino and Mon Dasha were slow to begin. Panther Grit, General Remus and Sixty Three collided soon after the start checking General Remus. Panther Grit, Sixty Three and Speedcar Skip collided on the first turn. General Remus and Steamy Unplugged collided on the first turn checking General Remus. Panther Grit, Sixty Three and Speedcar Skip collided entering the back straight checking Speedcar Skip and severely checking Sixty Three. Steamy Unplugged and Mon Dasha collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Steamy Unplugged galloped on the heels of Speedcar Skip approaching the home turn. General Remus and Speedcar Skip collided approaching the home turn. Speedcar Skip faltered approaching the home turn. Panther Grit and Skipalong collided in the home straight.
Speedcar Skip was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both deltoid muscles. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
