Speedcar Skip was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both deltoid muscles. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Condon handler of the greyhound Massive Attack,and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to use of mobile phones in the kennelling area. 

Heartbreak Mary was a late scratching at 2:25pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. M. Meyer was fined the sum of $100.

Spritely Julia was slow to begin. Mate and Swift Bazmo collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn checking Swift Bazmo. Mate and Tri Code Saint collided approaching the home turn checking Tri Code Saint. Spritely Julia checked off Tri Code Saint on the home turn. Tri Code Saint checked off Ollie Aztec entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Kokoda Sunrise, Calen and Minca Man were slow to begin. Billiluna checked off Toss on the first turn. Marmasette and Mr. Agro collided on the first turn checking Marmasette. Kokoda Sunrise and Minca Man collided entering the back straight. Kokoda Sunrise faltered and tailed off as a result. Billiluna and Toss collided on the second turn. Calen and Mr. Agro collided approaching the home turn checking Calen. Calen and Mr. Agor collided on the home turn.

Kokoda Sunrise was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle. A stand down period of 28 days was imposed.

Mr. N. Jones, handler of the greyhound Crave declared a new weight of 33.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Crave last raced at 32.8kg.

Crave, Sparkletini and High Mission collided approaching the first turn checking Sparkletini. Filius Flitwick and Spakletini collided approaching the first turn. Crave checked off Kraken Concord approaching the first turn. All Inn Menphis and Kraken Concord collided approaching the home turn. Ebony Eclipse, Vixyma, Good Wick and Morta Bella were slow to begin. Ebony Eclipse and Vixyma collided soon after the start checking Ebony Eclipse. Clovalley Dave, Swift Bunny, Roll 'Em Missy, Burst Through, Roll 'Em Sharky, Hop On Black and Abbie's Dream collided on the first turn checking Burst Through, Clovalley Dave, Swift Bunny and Roll 'Em Missy. Swift Bunny and Roll 'Em Missy collided in the back straight.

Hawks Three Peat, Why Not Roy and Petentim were slow to begin. Whipstick Chloe and Ima Terror collided on the first turn and approaching the home turn checking Ima Terror. Hawks Three Peat and Why Not Roy collided approaching the home turn checking Why Not Roy. Whipstick Chloe and Gunmetal Angel collided entering the home straight.

Hawks Three Peat was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left front toes, injuries to the right calf and right groin muscles. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms G.Lemin, the handler of Manx Knight regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Manx Knight last raced on 11 May, 2016. Ms Lemin stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after illness.

Diyas and Forever Loved were quick to begin. Gypsy Wendy and Remember Train were slow to begin. Horey's Girl and Diyas collided approaching the first turn. Gypsy Wendy and Our Spirit collided on the first turn checking Gypsy Wendy.

A sample was taken from Jersey, winner of the event.

Stewards issued catcher Ms A Scott with a charge pursuant to GAR 48 in that she accepted an engagement to provide two catchers for trainer Mr S. Gibson in this event for which by providing only one catcher, she failed to fulfill. Ms Scott pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Ms Scott guilty and issued a fine of $100.

Chief Tommy was a late scratching at 2.09pm by order of Stewards due to an administrative error.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results - Solitary Tear trialled over the 425mt from box 8, weight 33.3kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 24.62, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 length. Solitary Tear was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Fawntastic Kate trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 26.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.62, the greyhound won by a margin of 1 length. Fawntastic Kate was cleared.
