Stewards spoke to Mr. T Salih the trainer of Haiyan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Haiyan last raced on 13th May, 2016 and is returing to racing after a front right toe dislocation. 

Mr. K Kubic, trainer of Gypsy Wendy declared a new weight of 26.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Gypsy Wendy last raced at 28.0kgs.

Selynya Prince was quick to begin. Got A Motor and Benny The Jet were slow to begin. Samba King and Gypsy Wendy collided soon after the start. Haiyan and Gypsy Wendy collided approaching the 300m mark. Gypsy Wendy checked off Tommy Longstride at the 300m mark. Gypsy Wendy crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Got A Motor and Selynya Prince collided at the 200m mark. Got A Motor checked off Haiyan at the 150m mark, checking Selynya Prince. 

Head Wreck and Lil Blackbook were slow to begin. Fiery Miss and Got Ya Back collided soon after the start, and again at the 300m mark, checking Fiery Miss and Lil Blackbook. Cosmic Act and Lord Somersby raced wide throughout the event.

Walmac was slow to begin. Uncool Albert and Reignlee collided soon after the start. Break The Code and He Ain't Sweet collided at the 300m mark. Secret Society and Reignlee collided at the 250m mark. Break The Code, He Ain't Sweet, Uncool Albert and Walmac collided at the 200m mark, checking He Ain't Sweet. Reignlee crossed to the outside and eased approaching the 150m mark. Break The Code and Reignlee collided at the 100m mark, 50m mark and again approaching the winning post. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Van lieshout, the trainer of the greyhound Reignlee regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 150m mark.  Reignlee was vetted and after being re-vetted following event five, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Reignlee with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Van lieshout pleaded guilty to the charge, Reignlee was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Grandis was slow to begin. Selynya Flash and Daryl Dixon collided soon after the start. Bling Dynasty crossed to the rail at the 300m mark, checking Selynya Flash and He's An Omen, Daryl Dixon fell as a result. Bling Dynasty and Selynya Flash collided at the 250m mark. Johnny's Return and Keep Talking collided at the 200m mark. Bling Dynasty and Selynya Flash collided several times from the 150m mark to the winning post, checking both grehounds. 

Daryl Dixon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained neck soreness and an injury to the left pencil, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Fiamatta was slow to begin. Mott Haven, Chevsta and Shades Of Sassy collided soon after the start, checking Mott Haven. Campeon and Pomp Fiction collided soon after the start. Campeon, Pomp Fiction and Gunmetal Lad collided at the 300m mark, checking all three greyhounds. Fiamatta crossed to the outside at the 250m mark. Campeon and Gunmetal Lad collided at the 200m mark. Shades Of Sassy and Shine collided several times from the 200m mark to the 150m mark. Campeon and Pomp Fiction collided at the 100m mark. Shine and Shades Of Sassy collided approaching the winning post. Shine eased approaching the winning post.

Shine was vetted and after being re-vetted following event seven, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Shine with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Moore pleaded not guilty to the charge, Shine was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Bolero was slow to begin. Dynamic Spin and Bide Time collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Bear's Gold, Pittsy Lomar, Dynamic Spin and Bide Time collided at the 250m mark, checking Pittsy Lomar and Bide Time. Lorimer Lad and Aston Bolero collided at the 100m mark and again at the 50m mark, checking Aston Bolero.

Athos, Charlie Rocket, Gunmetal Rebel, Pappa Gallo and Sailaway Jackie collided soon after the start, checking Charlie Rocket, Gunmetal Rebel and Pappa Gallo. 

Slick Ice was slow to begin. Uncatchable, Marbo's Magic and Howies Flyer collided soon after the start. 

Black Pontiac and Kakarot were slow to begin. Rosie Rocks and Zambora Beau collided at the 250m mark. Zambora Beau and Pretty Machine collided at the 200m mark. She's No Manic, Parisian Magic and Wombat collided at the 200m mark, checking She's No Manic. Zambora Beau checked off Pretty Machine at the 150m mark. Zambora Beau and Wombat collided at the 100m mark. 

Banana Blanket, Wolfbane McCabe and Master Phelps were slow to begin. Banana Blanket and Rozehill Lisa collided approaching the 250m mark. Master Phelps crossed to the outside at the 200m mark, checking Woleebee Lad. Silver Rockstar checked off Wolfbane McCabe at the 150m mark. Wolfbane McCabe and Woleebee Lad collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark. Wolfbane McCabe checked off Banana Blanket approaching the winning post. 

Smooth Silver, Topper Teretto and Benson were slow to begin. Sultan Of Swing checked off Contemplate soon after the start and collided with Benson. Topper Arch, Domestic Girl, Contemplate and Shocking Onyx collided at the 300m mark, checking Domestic Girl. Topper Teretto, Domestic Girl and Shocking Onyx collided at the 200m mark.

Sultan Of Swing was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Hardaway Terror was slow to begin. Satin Ice was quick to begin. In Like Flint, Sundance Lad, Smart Tornado, Monster Roar and Inmate collided soon after the start, checking In Like Flint, Sundance Lad and Smart Tornado. In Like Flint and Satin Ice collided at the 200m mark. Hardaway Terror crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. In Like Flint, Inmate and Satin Ice collided at the 150m mark. In Like Flint checked off Satin Ice at the 100m mark.
