Miss Uggboot was quick to begin. Monolith and Dark Hoodoo collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Red Choice, Slipaway Cool, Miz Raejan and Star Carnage collided on the first turn checking Red Choice and Star Carnage and severely checking Slipaway Cool and Shady Train. Miz Raejan checked off Monolith on the first turn. Dark Hoodoo checked off Monolith approaching the home turn checking Miz Raejan. Shady Train and Star Carnage collided on the home turn. Slipaway Cool was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right shoulder and the right thigh. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K.Quinn, the trainer of Slipaway Cool regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Stewards deemed the performance of Slipaway Cool unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Slipaway Cool must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
