Steward's Report
Mr. Zed, Exford Zoom and Clovalley Viv were slow to begin. Mr. Zed, Exford Zoom, Clovalley Viv and Sand Side checked off Crispy approaching the first turn. Crispy and Eye Racer collided on the first turn. Mr. Zed and Exford Zoom collided on the first turn checking Mr. Zed and Clovalley Viv. Crispy checked off Sand Slide on the first turn. Exford Zoom and Midnight Marvel collided approaching the home turn. Mr. Zed checked off Crispy entering the home straight and collided with Clovalley Viv. Mightnight Marvel and Sand Slide collided in the home straight. Exford Zoom eased approaching the winning post. Exford Zoom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the stewards charged Exford Zoom with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
