Steward's Report
Du Plessis and Rules Apply were slow to begin. Spa Primrose and Du Plessis collided soon after the start. Fear Indigo and Dashing Dave collided soon after the start. Rules Apply checked off Du Plessis on the first turn. Du Plessis checked off Fear Indigo in the front straight and raced wide checking Fear Indigo which stumbled. Spa Primrose checked off Bush Wacked on the third turn. Spa Primrose and Madame Black collided approaching the home turn. Du Plessis and Fear Indigo collided on the home turn.
Du Plessis was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio, the handler of Du Plessis, with regard to the performance of the greyhound in today's event. Mr. Divirigilio stated that he was disappointed with the greyhound's performance today and could offer no explanation. Mr. Divirgilio added that he wiill have Du Plessis examined by his regular Vet in the oncoming days and will notify Stewards if any abnormalities arise. Stewards noted in his explanation and took no further action.
