Twist Of Thunder was quick to begin.  Magic Max, Crying In Vegas and Allen Membo were slow to begin.  Magic Max checked off Kimanator soon after the start.  Kimanator and Tekki Spader collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Idaho Bale and Allen Membo collided on the first turn.  Roll 'Em Mighty checked off Idaho Bale on the first turn checking Crying In Vegas.  Kimanator, Tekki Spader and Magic Max collided on the first turn checking Kimanator and Magic Max.  Idaho Bale and Allen Membo collided approaching the second turn.  Tekki Spader checked off Crying In Vegas entering the back straight.  Tekki Spader brushed the running rail on the home turn.

Make That Call was quick to begin.  Spirited Revenge was slow to begin.  Quizmaster and Toll Bar collided approaching the first turn.  Quizmaster checked off Make That Call on the first turn.  Make That Call and Our Miss Nitro collided approaching the second turn checking Spirited Revenge, severely checking Quizmaster and Our Miss Nitro.  Quizmaster checked off Spirited Revenge on the second turn.  Make That Call, Quizmaser and Spirited Revenge collided entering the home straight.

Roll 'Em Missy and Zipping Cash were quick to begin.  Who Told Harry, Seaside Daisy and We'll Clap That were slow to begin.  Who Told Harry and We'll Clap That collided approaching the first turn.  Albert's Patch and Who Told Harry collided approaching the first turn.  Who Told Harry and We'll Clap That collided on the first turn checking We'll Clap That.  Roll 'Em Missy and Zipping Cash collided on the first turn.  Who Told Harry and Seaside Daisy collided approaching the second turn checking Who Told Harry, Seaside Daisy and We'll Clap That.  Allen Portland checked off Roll 'Em Missy entering the back straight.  Allen Portland and Roll 'Em Missy collided on the third turn.   Seaside Daisy checked off Roll 'Em Missy on the third turn.  Who Told Harry and We'll Clap That collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Albert's Patch tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Albert's Patch was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 5.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr W. Harvey, Trainer of Albert's Patch. Stewards deemed the performance of Albert's Patch unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Albert's Patch must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards also questioned Mr. Harvey, with regard to Albert's Patch stepping up in distance in today's event. Mr. Harvey stated that Albert's Patch has trialled on two separate occasions over 515m at Sandown and in his opinion, felt the greyhound would be competitive. Mr. Harvey added that he will return Albert's Patch back to racing over the shorter distances. 

Du Plessis and Rules Apply were slow to begin.  Spa Primrose and Du Plessis collided soon after the start.  Fear Indigo and Dashing Dave collided soon after the start.  Rules Apply checked off Du Plessis on the first turn.  Du Plessis checked off Fear Indigo in the front straight and raced wide checking Fear Indigo which stumbled.  Spa Primrose checked off Bush Wacked on the third turn.  Spa Primrose and Madame Black collided approaching the home turn.  Du Plessis and Fear Indigo collided on the home turn.

Du Plessis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio, the handler of Du Plessis, with regard to the performance of the greyhound in today's event.  Mr. Divirigilio stated that he was disappointed with the greyhound's performance today and could offer no explanation. Mr. Divirgilio added that he wiill have  Du Plessis examined by his regular Vet in the oncoming days and will notify Stewards if any abnormalities arise. Stewards noted in his explanation and took no further action.

Buckle Up Axel and Sanzman collided soon after the start and again on the first turn.  Daintree Puzzle and Shout Out Loud collided on the second turn checking Proven Latte and Daintree Puzzle.  Buckle Up Axel and Sanzman collided approaching the third turn.  Daintree Puzzle checked off Monty Express on the fourth turn.  Daintree Puzzle and Monty Express collided approaching the home turn.  Buckle Up Axel and Shout Out Loud collided on the home turn.  Sanzman checked off Monty Express on the home turn.  Sanzman eased entering the home straight.  Monty Express tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Sanzman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Mr D. Condon, Trainer of Sanzman.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Sanzman with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Condon pleaded guilty to the charge.  Sanzman was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown Park and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Night Phantom, Who's That Chap and Cosmic Elle were slow to begin.  Night Phantom and Who's That Chap collided soon after the start.  Mint Burst and Ice Contractor collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  My Minion and Boom Boom Shiraz collided approaching the first turn.  Who's That Chap checked off Boom Boom Shiraz on the first turn checking Cosmic Elle which raced wide.  Night Phantom and Ice Contractor collided on the second turn.

Cosmic Elle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Meeting Comments:

Chrichton Bale trialled over the 515m from Box 7, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 29.78, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .5 lengths.  Chrichton Bale was cleared.

Bluehawk Sun trialled over the 515m from Box 1, weight 34.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 29.78, the greyhound tailed off.  Bluehawk Sun was not cleared.
