Steward's Report

Roll 'Em Missy and Zipping Cash were quick to begin.  Who Told Harry, Seaside Daisy and We'll Clap That were slow to begin.  Who Told Harry and We'll Clap That collided approaching the first turn.  Albert's Patch and Who Told Harry collided approaching the first turn.  Who Told Harry and We'll Clap That collided on the first turn checking We'll Clap That.  Roll 'Em Missy and Zipping Cash collided on the first turn.  Who Told Harry and Seaside Daisy collided approaching the second turn checking Who Told Harry, Seaside Daisy and We'll Clap That.  Allen Portland checked off Roll 'Em Missy entering the back straight.  Allen Portland and Roll 'Em Missy collided on the third turn.   Seaside Daisy checked off Roll 'Em Missy on the third turn.  Who Told Harry and We'll Clap That collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Albert's Patch tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Albert's Patch was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 5.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr W. Harvey, Trainer of Albert's Patch. Stewards deemed the performance of Albert's Patch unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Albert's Patch must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards also questioned Mr. Harvey, with regard to Albert's Patch stepping up in distance in today's event. Mr. Harvey stated that Albert's Patch has trialled on two separate occasions over 515m at Sandown and in his opinion, felt the greyhound would be competitive. Mr. Harvey added that he will return Albert's Patch back to racing over the shorter distances.
