Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Judge, Miss K McMahon did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Miss Suzie Que and Cosmic Lily were quick to begin. Jodie's Knee, Proven Chops and Kraken Flash were slow to begin. Proven Chops and Jodie's Knee collided approaching the first turn, causing Jodie's Knee to contact the running rail and lose ground as a result. Proven Chops and Kraken Conan collided on the first turn. Dime and Proven Chops collided on the home turn.
Samples were taken from the placegetters of the event - Miss Suzie Que (1st), Daphne's Party (2nd) and Cosmic Lily (3rd).
Jodie's Knee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strained left thigh and left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards noted there was a breach of kennel security during the sample procedure for Cosmic Lily. Mr D Fisher, the trainer of the greyhound was advised of the incident and the sample was taken.
