Stewards spoke to Mr P Donohue, the trainer of Jaimandy Bonnie after noting the greyhound had not raced for over 3 months. Mr Donohue stated that the greyhound had been recovering from an injury.
Bruzzy Boucheau and Karaoke Ken collided soon after the start. Fine Future, Little Leesey and Miss Kadia collided approaching the first turn. Flying Opal and Jaimandy Bonnie collided approaching the first turn. Little Leesey checked off Miss Kadia on the first turn, severely checking Little Leesey and Bruzzy Boucheau. Bruzzy Boucheau and Flying Opal collided on the first turn.
