Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Miss A Polzin, trainer of Sveen in regards to the extended period of time between the greyhound's races. Sveen last raced on the 18th March, 2015. Miss Polzin stated that Sveen was returning to race after suffering from a toe injury (split webbing) and also from illness. Stewards noted Miss Polzin's explanation.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sveen.
Flying Alf, High Style and Brooklyn Cruiser were slow to begin. Diamond Python and Prince Nando collided soon after the start checking Prince Nando and High Style. Sveen, Buckle Up Vicki and Flying Alf collided approaching the first turn checking Buckle Up Vicki, Flying Alf and Ragtime Lucy and severely checking Prince Nando and High Style, High Style tailed off as a reuslt. Buckle Up Vicki and Flying Alf collided approaching the home turn checking Buckle Up Vicki and Ragtime Lucy. Buckle Up Vicki and Ragtime Lucy collided on the home turn.
High Style was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dropped right back muscle, a 30 day stand down period was imposed.
