Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter, Mr. G. Glass did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Jordy Paige was slow to begin. Dance Craze checked off Zipping Anna approaching the first turn. Zipping Anna and Miss Icy Fantasy collided on the first turn. Dance Craze, Some Tricks and Zipping Express collided on the first turn, causing Some Tricks and Zipping Express to fall. Jordy Paige eased on the first turn. Liam's Entity eased on the first turn and tailed off.
Some Tricks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the groin and right stiffle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Zipping Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left wrist and grazes to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Liam's Entity was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Wallworth, the trainer of the greyhound Liam's Entity regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Liam's Entity with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Wallworth pleaded not guilty to the charge, Liam's Entity was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Glass, the trainer of the greyhound Jordy Paige regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Jordy Paige was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left hind nail, a 5 stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jordy Paige with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr.Glass pleaded guilty to the charge, Jordy Paige was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
