Highfield Silk and Spare Parts were slow to begin.  Eumeralla Flash and Catalyse collided soon after the start.  Highfield Silk and Shanae Rose collided soon after the start.  Highfield Silk, Shanae Rose and Katie Alouette collided on the first turn checking Shanae Rose and Katie Alouette.  Miss Capone, Pretty Crazy and Eumeralla Flash collided approaching the home turn checking Miss Capone and Pretty Crazy. Highfield Silk, Pretty Crazy and Katie Alouette collided approaching the home turn checking Pretty Crazy.  Catalyse and Miss Capone collided on the home turn.  Highfield Silk checked off Katie Alouette in the home straight.

Pretty Crazy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound Stretch Limo, Mr. P. Handley regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Handley stated that the greyhound had been spelling due to tonsillitis.

Stretch Limo was quick to begin.  Sailing Ale and Charlie Soprano were slow to begin.  Quick Shanks and Mini Morgo collided approaching the first turn.  Sailing Ale and Mini Morgo collided entering the home straight checking Mini Morgo and severely checking Quick Shanks.  Sailing Ale and Stretch Limo collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Quick Shanks was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to representitive of the greyhound Sniffer Grange, Mr. S Luizzi, regarding the length of time of the greyhound has had between starts. Mr Luizzi stated the the greyhound had been spelling due a hock injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sun Scream.

Kayla's Effort, Lil' Swiss and Sniffer Grange were slow to begin.  Rodarte Quayle stumbled soon after the start and lost ground as a result. Sniffer Grange checked off Kinloch Creek approaching the first turn.  Don's Racer, Kinloch Creek and Sun Scream collided on the first turn checking Kinloch Creek, Sun Scream and Karaoke Ken.  Karaoke Ken and Kinloch Creek collided approaching the home turn checking Kinloch Creek. Sniffer Grange checked off Lil' Swiss approaching the home turn.  Lil' Swiss and Karaoke Ken collided entering the home straight.  Kinloch Creek checked off Rodarte Quayle approaching the winning post.

Hardy Chief, Don Fire and Wrecking Ralph were slow to begin.  Stop Senoring checked off Stolen Gem soon after the start.  Stolen Gem and Dana Archie collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Stolen Gem.  Stop Senoring checked off Makaman approaching the home turn.  Stolen Gem and Stop Senoring collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.  Don Fire and Wrecking Ralph raced wide in the home straight.

Baroness Jill, Nuggy Burger and Flying Hannah were slow to begin.  Baroness Jill, Blonde Jettie, Seabrook Shelley, College Graduate, Nuggy Burger and Flying Hannah collided on the first turn checking all six greyhounds.  Claretown Clyde and Dynamo's Girl collided on the second turn. Blonde Jettie and Seabrook Shelley collided on the home turn.

Baroness Jill was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Dirk And Rosie and Secret Marjen were slow to begin.  Zac's A Sixpence, Fancy Agro, Pason Sander, Lily Black and Just A Dot collided on the first turn checking Pason Sander, Lily Black, Dynamo's Dove, Secret Marjen, Zac's A Sixpence and Dirk And Rosie.  Pason Sander, Dynamo's Dove and Secret Marjen collided on the second turn.  Pason Sander and Secret Marjen collided approaching the home turn checking Secret Marjen.  Lily Black checked off Dirk And Rosie approaching the home turn.  Lily Black raced wide in the home straight.  Zac's A Sixpence and Pason Sander collided approaching the winning post.

Mr. R. Raven, trainer of Southern Blaze redeclared a new weight of 36.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Southern Blaze last raced at 35.3kgs.

Tiger Of Oz and Subway were slow to begin.  Ready Jet Go, Zander's Express and Cosmic Lady collided approaching the home turn checking Ready Jet Go and Cosmic Lady and severely checking Zander's Express.  Sparkling Kitty and Roadie collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.  Zander's Express checked off Cosmic Lady in the home straight.  Ready Jet Go raced wide in the home straight.

Sparkling Kitty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Mcguire, handler of the greyhound Sparkling Kitty, regarding its racing manners in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Mcguire, acting on their own observations and reviewing both offical race replay and head on replays stewards took no futher action.

Zander's Express was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Kaylarikki was slow to begin.  Flaming Bob, Claretown Snowy and Sultan of Swing collided soon after the start checking Claretown Snowy. Flaming Bob and Sultan Of Swing collided on the first turn checking Flaming Bob.  Sultan Of Swing and Authentic Ace collided aproaching the home turn checking Sultan Of Swing.  Central Road checked off Flaming Bob entering the home straight.

Riley Boy, Danda Flash and Flip The Boat were slow to begin.  Riley Boy, Idol Factor and Flip The Boat collided on the first turn checking Idol Factor and Flip The Boat.

Highfield Roco was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder and left pencil.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Contrive was slow to begin.  Patchie Anchor checked off Nawala Barko soon after the start.  Rimpac and Star Walls collided approaching the first turn checking Rimpac.  Patchie Anchor checked off Mouth For War approaching the home turn.  Nawala Barko and Ladies Kay collided approaching the home turn.

Patchie Anchor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. M. Shaw, handler of Mcaveney redeclared a new weight of 33.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mcavaney last raced at 35.0kgs.

Southwood Lloyd was quick to begin.  Remo Coffee crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Uncontrollable, Hammossa, Advice Aplenty and Demolition Guy.  Demolition Guy checked off Advice Aplenty approaching the first turn.  Demolition Guy and Hammossa collided approaching the home turn.  Dynamic Groover raced wide in the home straight.

Go Wild Phil was a late scratching at 11:49am by order of stewards. Stewards held an inquiry into the circumstances pertaining to the late scratching of Go Wild Phil. Stewards charged the representive of the greyhound, Mr. K. Ward pursuant to GAR 86(o) in that he negligently failed to present Go Wild Phil, which resulted in the greyhound being a late scratching. Stewards fined Mr. K. Ward the sum of $250.

Tiny Profit was quick to begin.  Cool Lois was slow to begin.  Riddle Me Lad and Uno Frankie collided soon after the start.  Jill Laker checked off Scherri Lee Lass on the first turn.  Cool Lois and Uno Frankie collided approaching the home turn.  Scherri Lee Lass and Tiny Profit collided in the home straight checking Tiny Profit.

Satisfactory Trial

Sweet Chilly trialled over the 450 metre distance from box 6, weight 24.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.88. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75 lengths.  Sweet Chilly was cleared.
