L Hellmuth, trainer of Fine Diner redeclared a new weight of 32.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Fine Diner last raced at 31.3kgs.
Stewards spoke to L Hellmuth, the trainer of Fine Diner after noting the greyhound had not raced for approximately 4 months. L Hellmuth stated that the greyhound had been recovering from an injury to its right back toe.
Specify, Punk Panther and Spa Cheang were slow to begin. Spa Cheang and Punk Panther collided soon after the start, checking Punk Panther. Punk Panther and Spa Cheang collided on the first turn, checking Spa Cheang. Punk Panther and Cahill Magic collided on the home turn, causing Cahill Magic to race wide as a result.
