Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Neile, trainer of Jazzy Osti with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jazzy Osti  last raced on 14 September, 2014. Mr Neile stated that the greyhound had been on season.

Snitzel Von Krum was quick to begin. Arolok Dora and Jazzy Osti were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn. Snitzel Von Krum and Augusta Dreaming collided approaching the first turn, checking Snitzel Von Krum. Black Betsy checked off Happy Hudson on the first turn.
