Steward's Report
Mercury Benz, Dana Archie and About To Peak collided soon after the start. Cool Boss crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking Dana Archie and About To Peak. Mercury Benz lost ground at the 250m mark. Cool Boss galloped on the heels of Guilded Lily approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds.
Mercury Benz was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to G Johnson, the trainer of the greyhound Mercury Benz. Stewards deemed the performance of Mercury Benz unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, stewards directed that Mercury Benz must peform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
