Shankill Mo and Unquestionably was slow to begin. Knocka's Choir and Amelia Christa collided soon after the start. Knocka's Choir, Amelia Christa and Kyl's Me Mate collided at the 300m mark. Shankill Mo checked off Kirabilli Rosie at the 200m mark. Knocka's Choir and Amelia Christa collided at the 150m mark. Amelia Christa crossed to the rail at the 100m mark and collided with Unexcuseable, checking Knocka's Choir. Unquestionably galloped on the heels of Kyl's Me Mate at the 100m mark, checking Kyl's Me Mate. Unexcuseable and Amelia's Christa several times approaching the winning post.
Kirabilli Rosie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a broken right hind toe nail, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
