A pre-race sample was taken from Enchanted Lass.
Oblivious, Jonny Quick Step, Dollar Chips and Cosmic Tate were slow to begin. Oblivious and Dollar Chips collided on the first turn. Cosmic Tate clipped the heels of Sheza Gym Junky on the first turn causing Cosmic Tate to stumble. Jonny Quick Step raced wide approaching the home turn severely checking Surf Jester and Sheza Gym Junky. Oblivious and Surf Jester collided on the home turn checking Surf Jester.
