Grand Bomber was quick to begin. Dura Mater and Ernie Old were slow to begin. Steel Fury checked off Sideways Glance soon after the start. Fixate, Grand Bomber and Ernie Old collided on the first turn severely checking Grand Bomber, Tempus Fugit and Zany Bale. Grand Bomber and Zany Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Grand Bomber. Grand Bomber raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Tempus Fugit and Zany Bale collided on the home turn.
Grand Bomber was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right tricep and right triangle. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
