Steward's Report
Trainer, Mr. D. Schwarz, contacted Stewards prior to kennelling to advise that there were traffic delays on the Western Highway following a truck accident. Stewards further contacted Mr. Schwarz at the conclusion of kennelling and he advised he would be unable to present the greyhound by the appointed time. Stewards subsequently ordered the withdrawal of Angry Murray Cod at 5.52pm.
Doongalla Ghost was quick to begin. Toowoomba Exact, Paw Zuri, and Marshall Bear were slow to begin.
Toowoomba Exact, contacted the running rail in the back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an left thigh injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Paw Yochelle, contacted the running rail on the first turn and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Smaller Acts - the winner of the event.
