Steward's Report
Mr. G. Barnsley, trainer of Nimble Kay declared a new weight of 31.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nimble Kay last raced at 33.3kg.
A pre race sample was taken from Metal Militia.
Nimble Kay was quick to begin. Mewstone Rocket and Metal Militia were slow to begin. Gunmetal Lad crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Blonde Man and Metal Militia and severely checking Nimble Kay which tailed off as a result. Mewstone Rocket checked off High Hopes on the first turn. Seabrook Shelley checked off High Hopes on the second turn. Seabrook Shelley checked off High Hopes in the home straight.
Nimble Kay was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Barnsley, the trainer of the greyhound Nimble Kay. Stewards deemed the performance of Nimble Kay unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Nimble Kay must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
