Scott Speed was a late scratching at 6:29pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Power Burst.
Fashion Boots was quick to begin. Nellie's Lad was checked off Zafonic Express soon after the start. Nellie's Lad and Sweet Shiraz collided on the first turn checking Sweet Shiraz. Tiger Ty Bob and Zafonic Express collided on the first turn checking Zafonic Express and Nellie's Lad. Nellie's Lad and Sweet Shiraz raced wide in the back straight.
