Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Sharp  the handler of Desert Spike regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Desert Spike last raced on 25th of April, 2016.  Mr. Sharp stated that the greyhound is returning to race after being new to the kennel.  Mr. Sharp also declared a new weight of 25.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Desert Spike last raced at 23.7kgs.
