Slipaway Simba was quick to begin. Miss Briony was slow to begin. Little Horey's, Zero Whispers and Lido's Boy collided soon after the start. Merlot Magic and Wise Harry collided approaching the first turn checking Wise Harry. Lido's Boy, Zero Whispers, Slipaway Simba and Merlot Magic collided entering the back straight. Merlot Magic galloped on the heels of Slipaway Simba in the back straight. Lido's Boy and Little Horey's collided approaching the second turn. Little Horey's and Zero Whispers collided approaching the home turn checking Zero Whispers. Merlot Magic and Slipaway Simba collided approaching the home turn. Merlot Magic and Zero Whispers collided on the home turn checking Zero Whispers.
Wise Harry was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
