Surfing Lass was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Big Roo Drew and Spookie Assassin collided soon after the start checking Spookie Assassin. Big Roo Drew and Light Of Liam collided on the first turn. Sweet Lucy checked off Speedcar Skip entering the back straight and collided with Spookie Assassin. Speedcar Skip and Spookie Assassin collided on the second turn checking Speedcar Skip and Sweet Lucy. Speedcar Skip and Surfing Lass collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Sweet Lucy checked off Spookie Assassin on the home turn. Speedcar Skip and Surfing Lass collided entering the home straight.
Surfing Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left hip. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
