Steward's Report
Sugar Bang was a late scratching at 2.08pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Tranquil Midge.
Black Bindi and Hip Hop Emmy were quick to begin. Amlin Jewel, Hip Hop Emmy, Better Beware and Our Jess collided approaching the first turn checking Our Jess. Our Jess raced wide on the home turn checking Hip Hop Emmy. Better Beware was checked off Tranquil Midge entering the home straight.
Meeting comments:-
Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Summers the trainer of Champagne Model regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Champagne Model last raced on 05/12/15. Mr. Summers stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A Champagne trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 25.1kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.50 lengths. Champagne Model was cleared.
Satisfactory trial results (blinkers removed):-
Kayla Las trialled over 315 metres from box 4, weight 26.4kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Kayla Las was cleared to race without blinkers.

Somersby Red trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 32.0kg the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.75 lengths. Somersby Red was cleared.
Power Burst trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 36.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Power Burst was cleared.
Saturday Sip trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 31.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.58 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.75 lengths. Saturday Sip was cleared.
