Kennels closed approximately 13 minutes after the allocated time due to the late arrival on course of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon.

Mendacious Lad and Lars Boy were quick to begin.  Hurricane Craig was slow to begin.  Zafonic Express and Bozza Boloney collided soon after the start checking Bozza Boloney.  Mendacious Lad crossed in approaching the first turn checking Zafonic Express.  Emilia Cash and Barham Millich collided on the first turn checking Barham Millich.  Bernmar Janet was checked off Bozza Boloney on the first turn and raced wide.  Hurricane Craig, Mendacious Lad and Lars Boy collided on the first turn checking Mendacious Lad and Lars Boy.  Barham Millich, Zafonic Express and Mendacious Lad collided on the first turn checking Mendacious Lad, severley checking Barham Millich and Lars Boy,checking Bernmar Janet as a result. Bozza Boloney was checked off Zafonic Express approaching the home turn.  Zafonic Express and Hurricane Craig collided approaching the winning post.

Midori Miss and Kyla's Cruiser were quick to begin.  Glen Mika, Pink Caviar and Texas Piledriver were slow to begin.  Hensap Justine was checked off Johnny Wolf approaching the first turn.  Midori Miss and Pink Caviar collided on the first turn checking Midori Miss.  Hensap Justine was checked off Kyla's Cruiser on the first turn and raced wide checking Texas Piledriver.  Hensap Justine and Little Mischa collided approaching the winning post.

Meteor Thunder was quick to begin.  Blonde Whylie, Reek and Wild Angel were slow to begin.  Perfect Rider, Steinbeck Knew and Motors Too Fast collided approaching the first turn checking Steinbeck Knew.  Blonde Whylie was checked off Reek on the first turn.  Perfect Rider, Motors Too Fast and See Sixty Three collided on the first turn checking Motors Too Fast and Wild Angel.  Perfect Rider and See Sixty Three collided approaching the second turn checking See Sixty Three.  Reek galloped on See Sixty Three on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Blonde Whylie and Wild Angel collided on the second turn checking Blonde Whylie.  

A sample was taken from Meteor Thunder - winner of the event.

Mudhoney Mark was a late scratching at 1.44pm  due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. M. O'Keffe was fined the sum of $100.

Bernmar Caviar was quick to begin.  Wildcard Babe and Special Member were slow to begin.  Chichi Bale and Garnier Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Chichi Bale was checked off Johnny Scull on the first turn checking Garnier Bale and Special Member.  Garnier Bale galloped on Chichi Bale approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Wildcard Babe and Johnny Scull collided entering the home straight.  Wildcard Babe eased in the home straight and collided with Johnny Scull checking Johnny Scull.

Wildcard Babe was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

A sample was taken from Label This- second placegetter in the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber the trainer of the greyhound Wildcard Babe regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Wildcard Babe with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Ms. Barber pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wildcard Babe was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months all tracks and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zelemar Zonk was quick to begin.  Kallara Gem, Spanky's Legacy, Carly Jay and Smooth Silver collided approaching the first turn.  Gotta Rush crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Carly Jay and Busta Voe, severley checking Shanks Very Much and causing Smooth Silver to fall.  Kallara Gem and Busta Voe collided on the second turn checking Busta Voe and Carly Jay.

Smooth Silver was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to the Club's Veterinary Surgeon attending to a greyhound from the previous race. 

Lunar Magic was slow to begin.  Ima Ebay and Night Prancer collided soon after the start checking Night Prancer.  Achai crossed in approaching the first turn checking Lunar Magic.  Night Prancer was checked off Lunar Magic approaching the second turn.  Prue Jay faltered on the second turn and subsequently tailed off.  Lunar Magic raced wide on the home turn.

Prue Jay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Rose Of Dyanna, Cool Milo and All About Arby were slow to begin.  Sun Choice crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Emi's Boy Badger and Max Roxy.  Cool Milo and All About Arby collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Emi's Boy Badger and Californa Levo collided on the first turn.  Joni Sunset was checked off Sun Choice entering the back straight.  Emi's Boy Badger and Cool Milo collided on the second turn checking Emi's Boy Badger.  Max Roxy and All About Arby collided on the home turn.  Max Roxy was checked off All About Arby entering the home straight.

Gunmetal Lad was quick to begin.  Andy Jay, Zatmine and Willowvale Wings were slow to begin.  Roll 'Em Sharky and Noaki Phoenix collided soon after the start.  Roll 'Em Sharky and Zatmine collided approaching the first turn.  Gunmetal Lad and Noaki Phoenix collided approaching the home turn checking Gunmetal Lad.

Gutsy Manolis was quick to begin.  Nods One was slow to begin.  Emenzie was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Festy Bale and Mr. Banks collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds and causing Nods One to race wide.  Almani Fury was checked off Gutsy Manolis entering the back straight checking Magnificent Pete and severley checkin Almani Fury which raced wide checking Festy Bale, Mr. Banks and Nods One.  Almani Fury was checked off Festy Bale on the second turn and raced wide checking Nods One.  Emenzie was checked off Magnificent Pete on the second turn.  

Alamani Fury was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hind leg, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Feeling Lucky was slow to begin.  Wilbur crossed in approaching the first turn severely checking Whittle Mikado.  Whittle Mikado and Feeling Lucky collided on the first turn checking Whittle Mikado and Joe Handson, Joe Handson faltered and subsequently tailed off.  Lucky Andy was checked off Laniakea on the first turn.  Laniakea and Tiger Jams collided approaching the home turn.  Whittle Mikado and Feeling Lucky raced wide on the home.

Joe Handson was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. S. Northway, trainer of Kobe's Hand declared a new weight of 31.7 kg's for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kobe's Hand last raced at 30.3 kg's.

Bar The Bullet was quick to begin.  Jay Kay Be and So Far Away were slow to begin.  Where's Rhys and Bar The Bullet collided soon after the start checking Where's Rhys.  Bar The Bullet and Maverick Dusty collided approaching the first turn checking Bar The Bullet.  Where's Rhys and So Far Away collided approaching the first turn checking Where's Rhys and Jay Kay Be.  Kobe's Hand was checked off Bar The Bullet on the first turn.  Scarlet Black and Willowvale Pearl collided on the first turn severley checking Willowvale Pearl which stumbled checking Bar The Bullet.  Kobe's Hand and So Far Away collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Russell regarding her difficulty in boxing Jay Kay Be.  Stewards directed that Jay Kay Be be boxed first in future events.

Sugar Bang was a late scratching at 2.08pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Black Bindi and Hip Hop Emmy were quick to begin.  Amlin Jewel, Hip Hop Emmy, Better Beware and Our Jess collided approaching the first turn checking Our Jess.  Our Jess raced wide on the home turn checking Hip Hop Emmy.  Better Beware was checked off Tranquil Midge entering the home straight.

Meeting comments:-

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Summers the trainer of Champagne Model regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Champagne Model last raced on 05/12/15.  Mr. Summers stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Champagne trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 25.1kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.50 lengths.  Champagne Model was cleared.

Satisfactory trial results (blinkers removed):-

Kayla Las trialled over 315 metres from box 4, weight 26.4kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Kayla Las was cleared to race without blinkers.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Somersby Red trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 32.0kg  the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9.75 lengths.  Somersby Red was cleared.

Power Burst trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 36.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.34 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Power Burst was cleared.

Saturday Sip trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 31.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.58 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.75 lengths.  Saturday Sip was cleared.
