Miss Minnetonka was a late scratching at 6:10pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Wilora, Missy Marlus and Avatar Ice were slow to begin. Manhattan Mandy, Samba King and Ruby Cabang collided approaching the first turn, checking Ruby Cabang. Wilora and Missy Marlus collided approaching the first turn. Miss Marlus brushed the running rail approaching the first turn. Remembering Dad, Samba King and Avatar Ice collided on the first turn, checking Samba King and Remembering Dad. Ruby Cabang, Remembering Dad, Samba King and Wilora collided on the home turn, checking Ruby Cabang. Remembering Dad and Wilora collided entering the home straight.
A sample was taken from Samba King - the winner of the event.
Remembering Dad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
