Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Manbo Man.
Macburner was slow to begin. King Enright checked off Porrentruy on the first turn. Tribal Faith and Ulala Bale collided on the first turn. King Enright and Manbo Man collided approaching the second turn. Manbo Man and Macburner collided in the back straight.
Prior to the All clear, Stewards viewed the official film to establish the position of the lure on the second turn and approaching the third turn. After viewing the film, and although conceding the lure appeared to be closer than normal to the leading runners for a short distance approaching the third turn, Stewards were satisified that no runner was affected and the All clear was notified.
Subsequent to the race Stewards spoke to lure driver Mr.S. Vick and advised him to ensure that in future, the lure is at the required distance at all times so as to leave no room for query.
