Ray's Rosie and Oakmont Whisper were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Disaaci, Mazzetti, Harrier Bale and Quilter Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking Disaaci and Harrier Bale. Ray's Rosie checked off Weather Whatever approaching the first turn. Ray's Rosie brushed the running rail on the first turn. Jimmy Who and Weather Whatever collided on the first turn. Disaaci and Harrier Bale collided on the first turn. Oakmont Whisper galloped on the heels of Quilter Bale approaching the home turn, checking Quilter Bale and causing Disaaci, Oakmont Whisper and Harrier Bale to fall. Jimmy Who and Weather Whatever collided approaching the home turn. Mazzetti raced wide entering the home straight.
Disaaci was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both pencil muscles and both quadriceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
