Mohinga Max was quick to begin. Mr. Alfie was slow to begin. West On Xandi crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Kasreyn, Kraken Concord, Mr. Alfie and Nocturnal. Nocturnal, Mr. Aldie, Kraken Concord and Kasreyn collided approaching the first turn, checking Kraken Concord and Mr. Alfie. Kasreyn galloped on the heels of Zigstar on the first turn, checking Zigstar. Mr. Alfie and Kraken Concord collided on the first turn. Kraken Concord, Zigstar and Kasreyn collided approaching the home turn, checking Zigstar and severely checking Kraken Concord. Mohinga Max raced wide in the home straight.
