Patchie Kaye was quick to begin.  My Sirion went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Fipa Middleton and Glib Lightning collided soon after the start checking Fipa Middleton.  Louis Mini Girl and Fipa Middleton collided approaching the first turn checking Fipa Middleton.  Midori Miss and Ta Chi Mini collided on the first turn.  Fipa Middleton and Perfect Rider collided on the first turn checking Fipa Middleton and My Sirion.  Glib Lightning and Tai Chi Mini collided approaching the home turn.  Fipa Middleton checked off My Sirion approaching the home turn.  Midori Miss raced wide entering the home straight.  My Sirion galloped on the heels of Tai Chi Mini in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Classic Winslow and Pyrenees Dynasty were slow to begin.  Beksun and Rising Assets collided soon after the start.  Classic Winslow, Tommy Tattle and Pyrenees Dynasty collided approaching the first turn checking Classic Winslow and Tommy Tattle and severely checking Pyrenees Dynasty which stumbled as a result.  Stars And Bars and Inky collided entering the back straight checking Stars And Bars and Spring Velox.  Classic Winslow and Inky collided in the back straight.  Pyrenees Dynasty and Stars And Bars collided in the back straight checking Pyreness Dynasty.

Pyrenees Dynasty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Back Road was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right monkey muscle and left quadriceps.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

A post race sample was taken from Destini Baby, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Marum, the trainer of Anna Rose regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Anna Rose last raced on 24th December 2015.  Mr. Marum stated that Anna Rose was returning to race after a change of kennel.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Hartigan the trainer of Brother Moses regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Brother Moses last raced on 12th March 2016.  Mr. Hartigan stated that Brother Moses was returning to race after suffering a left hip injury.

Premier Macs was quick to begin.  Claretown Sam checked off Black Edge soon after the start.  Oriental Prince checked off Who's That Hook approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Hillbilly Bubba faltered approaching the first turn checking Who's That Hook and Oriental Prince; Hillbilly pulled up as a result.  Claretown Sam checked off Black Edge on the first turn checking Oriental Prince.  Claretown Sam raced wide on the home turn.  Who's That Hook tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Who's That Hook was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Hillbilly Bubba was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right deltoid muscle, left coupling, left stifle and left thigh.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Craven, handler of Moto Warrior in regards to his difficulty in boxing the dog for this event. Mr Craven informed Stewards that his greyhound’s toe had become wedged in the pop-rivet hole on the boxes whilst he was trying to load the greyhound. Stewards accepted Mr Craven's explanation.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Tabb, the trainer of True Optimist regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  True Optimist last raced on 10th December, 2015.  Mr. Tabb stated that True Optimist was returning to race after a change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, True Optimist trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 33.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.19.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 lengths.  True Optimist was cleared. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Tabb, the trainer of Katy Shan regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Katy Shan last raced on 9th December, 2015.  Mr. Tabb stated that Katy Shan was returning to race after a change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Katy Shan trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 26.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.19.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 11.5 lenghts.  Katy Shan was cleared.

Pee Dee trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 5, weight 25.8kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.19. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Pee Dee was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Partridge, the trainer of Belena Prince regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Belena Prince last raced on 12th December, 2015.  Mr. Partridge stated that Belena Prince was returning to race after a back muscle injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Belena Prince trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 29.7kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.19.  The greyhound won by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Belena Prince was cleared.
