Bee Fozzio was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhounds sustained a sesamoid injury to the left hind toes. AA stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Mr. M. Fothergill, trainer of Spur Tron declared a new weight of 33.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Spur Tron last raced at 32.2kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Fothergill, the trainer of Spur Tron regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Spur Tron last raced on 16/12/15. Mr. Fothergill stated that the greyhound was returning from a right calf muscle injury.

Ayden Jackson, Merlot Magic and Iron Side were slow to begin. Iron Side checked off Blazing Nitro soon after the start. Moonlight Cruise checked off Benkei soon after the start. Merlot Magic galloped on the heels of Benkei approaching the first turn checking Blazing Nitro and Merlot Magic. Iron Side and Benkei collided approaching the home turn. Merlot Magic checked off Ayden Jackson on the home turn. Benkei checked off Iron Side on the home turn. Benkei and Moonlight Cruise collided approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Zelemar Zone trialled over the 425m from box 1, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.25, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.25L. Zelemar Zone was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results -Blue And Cool trialled over the 425m from box 7, weight 24.0kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.25 the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.25L. Blue And Cool was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Hayes, the trainer of Super Rockstar regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Super Rockstar last raced on 11/11/2015. Mr. Hayes stated that the greyhound had been seasonal and spelled and was returning to race. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Super Rockstar trialled over the 425m from box 3, weight 27.8kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was24.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75L. Super Rockstar was Cleared.
