Dawn Cruise and Be Hopeful were slow to begin.
Heza Dee Light and Ricardo Bale collided approaching the first turn. Ima Tomahawk galloped on the heels of Ricardo Bale approachng the first turn checking Ima Tomahawk. Dawn Cruise galloped on the heels of Rennicane on the first turn checking Dawn Cruise, Heza Dee Light and Ricardo Bale. Uno Sparti and Dawn Cruise collided several times approaching the home turn checking Dawn Cruise. Dawn Cruise and Heza Dee Light collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Dawn Cruise and Ima Tomahawk and severely checking Heza Dee Light. Be Hopeful raced wide in the home straight.
Heza Dee Light was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
