Cosmic Bay was quick to begin. Maine Heart and Zoally were slow to begin.
Zoally checked off Aeroplane Mick soon after the start. Aeroplane Mick and Magic Moz collided several times approaching the first turn. Aeroplane Mick, Magic Moz and Maine Lach collided on the first turn checking Magic Moz and Maine Lach. Maine Heart raced wide on the first turn. Zoally, Magic Moz and Maine Lach collided approaching the home turn severely checking Magic Moz and Maine Lach. Maine Heart raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards noted the muzzle of Maine Lach become dislodged soon after the start.
Our Warlock was vetted and revetted following race 3. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right pencil muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to handler Mr. J. Finn regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Aeroplane Mick. Stewards directed that Aeroplane Mick be boxed first in future events.
