Steward's Report
Sunshine Diva, Smurftastic and Marmion Star collided soon after the start. Our Banjo and Kayla's Effort collided on the first turn severely checking Our Banjo. Kayla's Effort and Buy Me collided approaching the home turn severely checking Buy Me. Our Banjo raced wide on the home turn and collided with Smurftastic; Smurftastic was checked as a result. Smurftastic checked off Our Banjo in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Brouwer regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Sunshine Diva. Stewards directed that Sunshine Diva be boxed first in future events.
Our Banjo was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Buy Me was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left thigh and hip. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
