Reigning Thrill was a late scratching at 9.06 a.m. due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Go Wild Brodie was slow to begin.  Billie Blue Girl crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Light Feathers, Somebody's Image, Western Reign and Destini Diamond.  Destini Diamond checked off Somebody's Image on the first turn.  Go Wild Brodie, Billie Blue Girl and Fearful Amy collided entering the back straight checking Billie Blue Girl.  Somebody's Image, Go Wild Brodie, Fearful Amy and Light Feathers collided on the second turn checking Fearful Amy.

Kilty Man and Sherry Baby were slow to begin.  Sherry Baby and Doovalacky collided soon after the start checking Sherry Baby.  El Huracan, Hardy's Me Mum and Miss Nicastro collided approaching the first turn checking El Huracan.  Kilty Man, Four See and Hardy's Me Mum collided approaching the first turn checking Four See.  Kilty Man and Hardy's Me Mum collided approaching the home turn checking Kilty Man.  Miss Nicastro faltered approaching the home turn and pulled up.  Four See raced wide on the home turn.  Hardy's Me Mum checked off Bekim Nikita in the home straight.

Four See was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Miss Nicastro was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Bonaccurso, the trainer of the greyhound Miss Nicastro regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Miss Nicastro with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Bonaccurso pleaded guilty to the charge.  Miss Nicastro was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR (A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Elite Lucy and Ronnie's Delight were slow to begin.  Benny's Reality and Smokey Whispers collided soon after the start checking Smokey Whispers.  Beau Lightning, Kaiju and Benny's Reality collided on the first turn checking Benny's Reality and Kaiju.  Benny's Reality checked off Beau Lightning entering the back straight.  Kaiju and Ronnie's Delight collided in the back straight checking Kaiju.  Kaiju and Smokey Whispers collided approaching the home turn checking Smokey Whispers.  Ronnie's Delight checked off Beau Lightning entering the home straight.

Don Fire was slow to begin.  Matty's Caravan and Majimber Rock collided soon after the start checking Majimber Rock.  Selynya Kev checked off See Him Go on the first turn.  Don Fire and See Him Go collided several times approaching the home turn checking See Him Go.  Majimber Rock checked off Selynya Kev in the home straight.

Dirk And Rosie was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Ima Legend and Kevaud's Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Cooly Queen, Yazz and Pason Sander collided on the first turn checking Yazz.  Ima Legend and Kevaud's Girl collided entering the back straight checking Kevaud's Girl.  Prancing Lad and Cooly Queen collided in the back straight checking Cooly Queen.  Cooly Queen and Yazz collided on the second turn checking Yazz.

Cosmic Quest and Be Hopeful were slow to begin.  Hold On Nitro and Wee Bella collided approaching the first turn checking Wee Bella.  Why Not Franklin, Added Bonus, Nikita's Nitro and Hold On Nitro collided on the first turn checking Nikita's Nitro.  Be Hopeful, Added Bonus and Hold On Nitro collided approaching the home turn checking Hold On Nitro.  Cosmic Quest checked off Hold On Nitro approaching the home turn.  Added Bonus and Wee Bella collided approaching the winning post.

He's Schmick was slow to begin.  Classique checked off Where's Exford approaching the first turn.  Classique and Big Bad Tom collided approaching the first turn severely checking Classique.  He's Schmick, Sun Valley and Sky Alert collided on the first turn checking Sun Valley.  He's Schmick checked off Sky Alert approaching the home turn checking Sun Valley.

Sunshine Diva, Smurftastic and Marmion Star collided soon after the start.  Our Banjo and Kayla's Effort collided on the first turn severely checking Our Banjo. Kayla's Effort and Buy Me collided approaching the home turn severely checking Buy Me.  Our Banjo raced wide on the home turn and collided with Smurftastic; Smurftastic was checked as a result.  Smurftastic checked off Our Banjo in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Brouwer regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Sunshine Diva.  Stewards directed that Sunshine Diva be boxed first in future events.

Buy Me was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left thigh and hip.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Slipaway Anna, Jem's Princess and Ben Wigan were slow to begin.  Jem's Princess and Ben Wigan collided soon after the start severely checking Jem's Princess.  Ben Wigan checked off Mr. Optimistic approaching the first turn and stumbled as a result.  Slipaway Anna checked off Lita's Lad on the first turn. Uncool Albert and Starbright Girl collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Lita's Lad checked off Ben Wigan in the home straight. Slipaway Anna and Starbright Girl collided in the home straight.

Nikki Cee was quick to begin.  Herodium and Bet Bet May collided approaching the first turn checking Herodium.  Nikki Cee, Kyl's Me Mate, Bet Bet May and Smashing Success collided approaching the first turn checking Bet Bet May, Kyl's Me Mate and Nikki Cee.  Smashing Success checked off Cahill Magic on the first turn.  Bet Bet May checked off Smashing Success approaching the home turn.  Herodium and Southern Blaze raced wide in the home straight.

Big Vee, Angel's Chief, Little Pookie and Home You Go collided approaching the first turn checking Little Pookie.  Glitch galloped on the heels of Miss Cloud Nine on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds.  Home You Go, Angel's Chief and Little Pookie collided approaching the home turn checking Angel's Chief and Little Pookie.  Glitch and Home You Go collided approaching the home turn.
