Perfect Stranger and Lisburn were slow to begin.
Perfect Stranger raced wide throughout.
Book Of Capers (turned head inwards approaching the winning post) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left gracilis, left groin and the right monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Jason Stemmer regarding Book Of Capers' racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Book Of Capers was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Stemmer pleaded guilty to the charge. Book Of Capers must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
