Forward Step, Put It Together and Voltage Strike were slow to begin.
Put It Together (contacted the inside running rail turning out of the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and an injury to the left triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Voltage Strike - the winner of the event.
