Steward's Report
Due to the late arrival of Top Cat Broadcasting, caused by a mechanical breakdown en route to course, this event was re-scheduled to 7.10pm, originally scheduled for 6.11pm.
This event was delayed by two minutes due to a scheduling conflict on Sky 2.
Heart To Heart was quick to begin. Nova's Fern raced greenly throughout.
Heart To Heart, racing manners back straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race six. Heart To Heart was found to have injuries to the right tricep and right gracilis muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to representative Mr G Turnbull regarding Heart To Heart’s racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Heart To Heart was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr G Turnbull pleaded guilty to the charge. Heart to Heart was suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
