Steward's Report
A pre-race urine sample was taken from La Lina.
The start was delayed by approximately two minutes due to operational activities.
La Lina was quick to begin.
La Lina (turned its head in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind spike wound. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Stavros Kipirtidis regarding La Lina’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, La Lina was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Kipirtidis pleaded not guilty to the charge. La Lina was found guilty and suspended for three months (3rd offence) at all tracks and must perform two Satisfactory Trials in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Locked And Ready underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have right fore torn nail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Black Pistol (faltered and lost ground turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from La Lina - placed 2nd in the event.
