Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), club official Mr J. Booker did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
A urine sample was taken from Tootsie upon arrival at the course.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Pot Of Gold.
Catch Some Ray, Dr. Zepher and Collinda Express were slow to begin.
Audacious Ivy (severely checked on the first and home turns) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right flexor tendon injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Zepher (checked and raced awkwardly on the home turn) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Ms. Jennifer Gill regarding the racing manners of Dr. Zepher in the home turn. After hearing submissions from Ms. Gill, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued. Pursuant to GAR 122, the Stewards requested Ms. Gill to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Dr. Zepher in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 03/10/2024: Trainer Ms. Kimberly Mcmahon, notified Stewards in accordance with GAR 122 that Dr. Zepher was found to have left calf muscle injury.
