A pre-race urine sample was taken from Ready To Sting.
Super Sequioa was quick to begin. Ready To Sting was slow to begin.
Volta Bale, faltered on finish on lure, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Inner Spirit, faltered home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track approaching and on the home turn and deemed it suitable for racing.
