Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Collins, the handler of the greyhound Phaser Bale regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages of the event. Mr. Collins advised Stewards that it was the greyhound's second start over the 450m and in his opinion the greyhound may not be suited to this distance at this point in time. Stewards noted his explanation.
