Astromatic was slow to begin. Weston East and Hawk Alone collided soon after the start. Weston East, Astromatic and Humphrey Bale collided on the first turn, checking Astromatic and Humphrey Bale. Peloton Bale checked off Gorham Bale on the first turn, checking Hawk Alone. Astromatic and Humphrey Bale collided approaching the second turn.
