Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Kennel Attendants, Mrs. J. Hooke and Mr. D. Elliot did not act in any official capacity that may have in any way affected the outcome of this event.
Silent Beast and Shima Harley were slow to begin.
Lady Amron (fell after the finish post), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion. No stand down period was imposed.
Silent Beast (marred Kalinya in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. Alfred Debattista regarding Silent Beast’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Silent Beast was charged with marring. Mr. Debattista pleaded guilty to the charge. Silent Beast is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Parwan's Star - the winner of the event.
